That's the most biased crap masquerading as journalism that I've read all day, and it's five days old. A lot has happened in 5 days: Since then we have found out that the Democrats did actually collude with Russia against Trump. Knowing that now, Trump has every right to an AG who doesn’t need to recuse himself. That's the reason he wants to move Sessions into another position, so he can appoint a new AG.

But Trump has been warned by GOP senators Ben Sasse and Lindsey Graham that the senate would not confirm a new AG nominee if Sessions is fired. So Trump is going to do one of several things:

1. Sessions has already been confirmed by the Senate for a cabinet post, so Sasse and Graham would have no ability whatsoever to interfere if Trump wanted to replace Kelly at DHS by moving Sessions into that job.

2. EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt has already been confirmed by the Senate for his position, so Sasse and Graham would have no ability whatsoever to interfere if Trump decided to move the former Attorney General of Oklahoma into the Attorney General slot.

3. Rick Perry has already been confirmed by the Senate for his job as Energy Secretary, so Sasse and Graham would have no ability whatsoever to interfere if Mr. Trump decided to move the former Texas Governor into the EPA Administrator slot.

4. That would leave a vacancy at the Department of Energy, but so what? Does anyone believe that Sasse and Graham would fall on their swords opposing a new nominee for that job? No way.

You can bet that Trump has a plan working in the back of his mind, he loves situations like this and finds them to be a challenge.

All that notwithstanding, by far the simplest solution for Trump is to just let the investigation run its course. That's doubly so if Trump and his people truly did nothing wrong.
