Why is the climate cult not upset about how AI will increase massively higher electricity usage and water consumption?

This is how China wins the AI war. We let the enviroweenies stop power grids from being built to power nextgen AL while China powers (no pun intended) forward full steam.

Look at companies like Vertiv, Schneider Electric, Firmus, JetCool and Crusoe.

When a problem is presented, intelligent people look for solutions, they don't just quit.
Well thus far they have been dumping their water on municipal systems to be retreated thus driving up the cost for water treatment for those communities dumb enough to let them in.

Data centers are increasingly recognized as part of the water infrastructure equation, and the demand for water treatment solutions is expected to continue growing. As data centers expand and evolve, the need for effective and sustainable water treatment strategies will become more critical.

They need to have their own water treatment facilities on site so they don't burden municipal facilities and drive up costs for municipal consumers.

Most of the communities are against them being built. Its the city councils and statehouses that are allowing it.

The whole AI buildout is going to be sloppy as hell. Advances, failures, discoveries, buyouts, startups, false starts, failures, you name it.

At least two or three years of this. Much like the Dot Com years. If the energy and cooling issues aren't solved fairly soon, the bottleneck will cause an industry crash or two along the way.

And then, when they start fully combining AI with Quantum computing, holy shit, we may see the whole process repeat. Then AGI. Star Trek. Beyond Star Trek. Have a bad liver? They'll print you a new one (already happening).

Strap in!

Yes, it will be fun having to outbid Google for every watt of electricity and every gallon of water I use.

It will dovetail nicely with having to outbid billionaire investors for every house we buy.

A pretty large part of the industry is dealing with that right now.

Don't be surprised to see data centers with their own small nuclear reactor. Literally.
