Maybe that's why you can't wrap your head around someone like Rachel Maddow being in attendance. She was extremely critical of Dick (rightly so) but said she admired how he stood up for Liz.

In some ways the funeral was a reflection of the way things used to be in America before trumpery took us to the dark place we are in.

If Rachel was invited to this memorial.....then she has been on the same team all along.
They didn't all of the sudden include her out of some imagined sense of decency.
