Because it is a self-radicalizing cultural and philosophical phenomenon. The left was created out of a sense of rebellion--or at minimum a departure from one of many ancient establishments' struggle to maintain control of all cultural norms, becoming in turn direct cultural insurrection. The right stands with original tenets of basic human values unfortunately often wrapped up inside of various schools of tyranny.

People get tired of the old guard. They want new, fresh, liberating culture and ideas; they want to shock the traditionalists with radical departure from the ancient dogmatic ways. Thus the right radicalizes into totalitarianism in order to stop the far left rising who threated to transform and deliquesce all that is traditional and fundamentally known to work.

Problem is, each historical iteration of radical leftist ascent seems to pervert further what is accepted as valuable and meaningful human principles.

Multiculturalism is perhaps the ultimate expression of rebellion against the ancient ways. Focus on nationalistic preservation springs from time out of mind and can be reduced to preservation of the base family unit, tribe, nation, race, religion, etc.

Allow me to try to explain this to you in terms you may understand:
Europe (by that I mean the European Union, run by Brussel's Belgium), declared that they would have open borders so that anyone could enter freely:
What they got were, Pakistanis, Turks, Somalis, Sudanese, Eritreans, Syrians, Libyans, Palestinians, Iranians, et cetera....Muslims. Mostly fighting age males and adult Muslim males lying and claiming they were children. Those same individuals brought with them, all their hatreds of one another, as well as their hatred of those who do not believe in their religion (infidels). Most are conducting what is called a "Hegira," a migration for the purpose of changing infidel lands to Islamic lands and Sharia Law.
Once they got there, they began raping the western women, declaring it that it was their right to do so, they also declared that they don't have to assimilate into the western culture. Sweden has become the rape capital of the world, with Germany not far behind. The Imams, Mullahs, et cetera, set up mosques where they preach hatred for the westerners and quietly condone the killing of infidels by any means necessary. The heads of the EU, ensure that as minimal negative press gets out about the troubles as they can, knowing full well, they screwed up, but monies from George Soros fills their pockets, so they quietly go along with the west's destruction.
That is your multi-culturalism at work and you want millions of them coming here as well....how many American deaths at the hands of terrorists and those not properly vetted are acceptable to you? Give me a number please.
If it were up to me, ALL immigration would cease across the board; I wouldn't care if they came from Norway, Kenya, Russia, or China. It should just be ended to slow down the rape of our wildlife habitats and forests.
