Every time I post a brand new thread I get an "old" icon and other people get a "new" icon, a "hot" icon or whatever?

I was just being silly.......

Since you posted the thread, that means it's a thread you've already read. So it's not new to you.

And since it has only one post in it, it's not hot yet.

It's user specific. Mine does the same thing. The site knows that you have already seen your own thread.

Aren't you the loud, proud, avowed Communist?

Actually, my grandma used to eat a little bit of stewed prunes every day. Kept her regular, she said. She was of sound mind and physically able to live in her own apartment in a retirement community until the age of 98, at which time she died suddenly of heart failure. No lingering illness, just bam, one day the heart gave out. She was talking, and LAUGHING, on the phone with family members when she was in the emergency room in her final moments.

Too bad we can't know ahead of time that we're going to live that long and that well, huh?
