Jan 10, 2018 #2 I rode the bus for about a year when I was a youngster. Talk about a motivating experience... I saved every dime I could for a used car and my travel time went from five hours a day to one and a half hours.

It's a combined storm of 1) Misplaced funding vision 2) excessive costs of labor in NYC 3) Preferring pretty projects instead of unseen ones I love using mass transit when it works better than driving, but I grew up using it.
