Our Revolution was supposed to be the shot fired around the world but apparently it wasn't. Why doesn't the world recognize our govt and civilization as superior. I think its because liberalism has triumphed. Today there is a wild, mad-dog fight to control central govts and wield the enormous power that such govts have or will be shaped to have.

actually Cheny was a freedom fighter. There are no George Washington's because liberalism is now so widely accepted that people all over the world think only in terms of unlimited liberal govts, that can make miracles happen, rather than limited conservative govts.

The real answer is that the American "revolution" was not a true "revolution" in many respects. There wasn't the murderous radical element found in most true revolutions.

The American revolution was driven by a distinct minority of people who had very modest aims. Most were fully happy with the idea of being "like England" as soon as independence was established.

In short American revolutionaries had little desire to tear up huge parts of colonial history and culture.
