YES!
The main reason being that clinical trials are animals usually are fairly useless.
You use science to determine the probable danger, then pay test patients well for increasing doses.
It is much quicker, accurate, and productive to ONLY use human subjects.
Using animals is pretty much just stupid, a waste of time, and worthless.
Animals have very different physiology and their results are totally skewed by the stress factors.

You attempt to separate what animals have in common with H. sapiens, which is also part of the science.

That anyone cares and there are actually opinion polls about Fauci's popularity tells you a lot about the state of medical "science" in this country.

And the problem is the human immune system is fairly unique.
We live longer than most animals, and we have more T-cell memory, since humans have lived in large groups for millions of years, but also have lots of zoonotic exposure from hunting and domesticating a wide variety of animals.

The problem is that Fauci was one of the first to NOT use any science at all.
He failed to support full quarantine at first, allowing covid to get a US foothold, and then failed to allow it to end with herd immunity, so that vaccine profits could be maximized.
It is obvious the mRNA vaccines are total fakes, and do not at all work with long term T-cell immunity memory.
