Why do some people take kindness as a weakness?

It depends about the type of kindness or what the kindness is intended for...being kind to people I think is great. It depends on the situation and the persons lifestyle, since people have so many different lifestyles some would interpret in different ways. But if you're a Business man you never show kindness and business and want to show yourself as a tough person in every way. These days more people are grumpier than usual. But nothing is really personal. I speak with Arabic people and the way we normally talk almost sounds as if we're yelling at each other and being rude, but it is actually normal talk so we are less sensitive generally and yelling is normal, it's the intention that matters.
