Why Do Republicans Use so much Welfare while claiming they are against it?

I seriously doubt there is a minority that the left won't USE for their political fodder. Hearing them yell, "whoopee look at me we got a black friend in the WH." Now with the welfare mantra as if the way a state votes has anything to do with who is on welfare. Using the poor for political points is really a new low. And your forgetting the funniest part. It simply shows that blue states take in a higher percentage of taxes to welfare paid out AND that red states take in a higher percentage of Welfare than the taxes paid.

Having said that, I doubt there is anyone in either party that is against a temporary safety net for those who have fallen into some bad times. What has occurred is that Welfare has become a career for far too many people in this country. The people who have used the system as a career have hurt it for those who actually need it for temporary support.

Well, to be specific - I'm against unconstitutional government "safety net". I 100% support a "safety net" where a private citizen contracts with a private company for unemployment insurance, long term disability insurance, short term disability insurance, etc.

The reality is, a responsible person creates their own safety nets. Sadly, Dumbocrats are not responsible people. They are ****'n children who want to spend their money on beer, cigarettes, and porn while expecting society to provide for food, housing, and healthcare.
