John Giles is the poster boy for what a RINO is. He was censured by the Arizona GOP for endorsing Mark Kelly, Democrat over the very qualified GOP nominee for the Senate and he has taken far more Democrat positions than GOP ones in managing Phoenix. A political party cannot oust one of its members--all citizens can identify with whatever political party they wish--but John Giles is no Republican.

(Mark Kelly is apparently on the short list for Kamala's VP pick it seems.)

Twenty-one current and former mayors across Arizona endorsed Harris, including Giles, who is a registered Republican. He was the most prominent Republican mayor to do so.

Other prominent mayors to endorse Harris include Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero and Tempe Mayor Corey Woods.

City politicians in Arizona don’t run as Democrats or Republicans but their political party affiliations add weight to their public endorsements.

In an op-ed with The Arizona Republic, he wrote it was time to “return to the core foundations of the Grand Old Party,” and chose a leader who will put country over party.

Ex-GOP congressman Riggleman endorses Harris, rips Trump’s ‘thirst for power’​

Former congressman Denver Riggleman, a Virginia Republican who ran twice with Donald Trump’s backing but broke with him over the Jan. 6 insurrection, endorsed Vice President Harris for the White House on Sunday.

“I was heartbroken and horrified to see how close we came to losing our democracy on January 6, because of one man — Donald Trump,” Riggleman said in a statement released by Harris’s campaign. “I’ve seen with my own eyes how Trump’s thirst for power, revenge, and retribution is his real motivation, and that’s why I cannot stand by while he tries to destroy our country.”

A former Air Force intelligence officer and distillery owner, Riggleman represented the 5th District in rural central Virginia for two years. After leaving Congress, he served as a senior staff member on the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Ambassador Nikki Haley. The program will kick off with events this week in Arizona, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Republicans backing Harris will also appear at rallies with the vice president and her soon-to-be-named running mate this coming week, the campaign said.
