Suzan Shown Harjo, a former executive director of the National Congress of American Indians, told the Herald: “If you believe you are these things then that’s fine and dandy, but that doesn’t give you the right to claim yourself as Native American.”

I recall quite some time ago seeing a copy of his scholarship thing for Occidental (taking into consideration that not everything on the internet is absolute truth); but what I saw clearly set out he was Indonesian and was applying for entrance on scholarship as a foreign student. I've never seen anything on his records from Yale, Columbia or wherever he went. He has been presented as a Constitutional law student, but you can't believe that based on his free use of a pen stroke to get around anything he wants to get around. When it comes to "leading from behind," I was always under the impression that to lead means to be up front of the crowd.
