The problem has been building for decades, likely from when the age of lack of personal responsibility began back in the '60's. Prior to that people were healthier, and medical cost were cheaper.Could it be that the cost of 10's of millions of illegal immigrants getting free healthcare has to be absorbed by the legal, law-abiding citizens of America?
Maybe too many slimy lawyers are also to blame for driving up costs. The system has to absorb all those litigation costs and awards plus the costs of malpractice insurance. I am pretty sure that cost soars into the 100's of billions every year.Life expectancy in 1970 was right around 70 for men.....Today it's 80....Tack on an extra 5 years for women.
150 million more people (since 1970) living longer will do that to costs. Toss in the deadbeats and there you go.
I'm sure it plays a big part too.Maybe too many slimy lawyers are also to blame for driving up costs. The system has to absorb all those litigation costs and awards plus the costs of malpractice insurance. I am pretty sure that cost soars into the 100's of billions every year.
Yeah, ask the Ukrainians how that works to their benefit. There might be another reason? Other countries accept as many or more immigrnats and still do much better at providing health care for all their people at a lower cost.
It's not a good time to talk about social reform in America.
North Korea has the lowest cost of any health care in any countryThere might be another reason? Other countries accept as many or more immigrnats and still do much better at providing health care for all their people at a lower cost.

There are so many problems in America, like healthcare, housing, infrastructure falling apart, rampant violent crime, etc., etc., it really makes me wonder: WTF have all the politicians been doing for the last 50 or so years as these problems rose and grew worse? And it cracks me up that these neo-leftist democraps continue to blame everything wrong today on Trump. Or they ask why hasn't Trump fixed all of America's problems in the last 9 months?I'm sure it plays a big part too.
Thing is you can't increase the population by 150 million (and add ten years to life expectancy) in 35 years and not expect monetary consequences all across the board.
I guess it will all come down now. Right?Could it be that the cost of 10's of millions of illegal immigrants getting free healthcare has to be absorbed by the legal, law-abiding citizens of America?
Health insurance prices are high, and getting higher, because health care prices are high, and getting higher. Health care prices are high because we have too much insurance, so no one cares what their health care costs.Simple supply and demand. Large numbers of sick and injured people with too few medical personnel to care for them.
Not really. The problem is broken market dynamics.Could it be that the cost of 10's of millions of illegal immigrants getting free healthcare has to be absorbed by the legal, law-abiding citizens of America?
This'll run up the bill.Life expectancy in 1970 was right around 70 for men.....Today it's 80....Tack on an extra 5 years for women.

If our politicians actually tried to solve these problems, they would likely be impeached or at best unelected. The reason for this is that we have 'monetized' our problems, made businesses out of them. For example, without rampant crime law enforcement workers would be out of a job. There are so many problems in America, like healthcare, housing, infrastructure falling apart, rampant violent crime, etc., etc., it really makes me wonder: WTF have all the politicians been doing for the last 50 or so years as these problems rose and grew worse? I recently heard of a family paying $26,000/year for health insurance. I'm sure they care.Health insurance prices are high, and getting higher, because health care prices are high, and getting higher.
