Hi. I live in Hammond, Indiana. Hammond is in northwestern Indiana, located riiiiiight next to thee southside of Chicago..

Gas prices here in Hammond are usually about $3.29 a gallon.. and it’s been that way since like January 2024..

(I believe..)

(IIRC.)

Thee most expensive gas price I saw today here in Hammond was $3.49 per gallon for regular unleaded gas at a Shell. Thee cheapest I saw today was $3.11 per gallon..

(The local Nice n’ Easy gas station always has thee cheapest gasoline prices in Hammond..)

If I cross the border into Illinois/Chicago though, I can expect to see plenty of gas prices at $3.49/$3.59/$3.69 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel though.

Anyways, I read that the gas prices got expensive above $3 a gallon in January 2021 in Indiana because Joe Biden and the democrats like to ship gasoline/oil by BNSF train to support Warren Buffet, instead of using oil pipelines..

(If that’s true, why have thee gasoline prices not fallen under Trump?)

The price of oil per barrel fell to about $57 in May 2025, but still, there was no drop in gasoline prices here in thee Chicagoland area when that happened..

Anyways, what’s up with the somewhat/kinda expensive gas prices in USA/Chicagoland area?

Do you think the war in Ukraine is causing gas prices to be above $3 a gallon in a lot of places?

I remember in 2022, Saudi Arabia cut/reduced thee amount of oil they were exporting to USA, because they didn’t like how Joe Biden was exasperating/intensifying the war in Ukraine, and putting all these sanctions on Russia. Anyone know if that Saudi Arabia oil cut is still in effect? Think that’s why gasoline prices are still so pricey-ish?

I believe the keystone pipeline was still being used under Biden’s term, but an extension to it wasn’t built? Anyone know if the keystone pipeline is being used under Trump at all, and if he plans to build thee extension on it? Anyone know how much of an effect that all has on the gas prices?

Well alright. Donald Trump vowed he would lower the gasoline prices if he became president, but he has failed to do so..

Anyone know why? Anyone know what’s up with that..?

Jw.

Democrats spent the last 4 years at war with oil. This increased its price and enriched their Russian and Iranian allies for there campaigns against the west.

Democrats = traitors

Gas prices remain high and are increasing--$4/gal reg., $5 gal. diesel, in WA due to cockamamie democrat fuel taxes. They keep them that way to manipulate the public and detract from republican successes. This seems to be true in every democrat stronghold in the nation--CA, WA, HI, NY, IL. Democrats are anti-American scumbags.

What do you think Biden’s war on oil was going to do to the price of oil?

Democrats used the auto pen to ban gas exports to attack American energy.

America is under attack by democrats who aim to collapse America and usher in the great reset for their WEF masters.

Once you realize democrats are traitors working to intentionally collapse America, suddenly everything they support and do will make sense.

Democrats = traitors

Gas prices in the summer are always higher than the winter and especially in August as the summer end.

This year AAA is saying the average price per gallon is $3.16 and last year it was 3.44, so it is cheaper than a year ago.

It may or may not go back down

The price of oil was between like $65-$71 a barrel in January 2018, according to Google..

Gas prices weren’t nearly as expensive in 2018 as they are now though.

WEF/Democrats have been at war with American energy for decades.

Democrats want higher gas prices to fight global warming and collapse America's economy.

Don’t forget to add taxes on top of the prices, federal is $.28 per gallon and some states are over $.50 a gallon and going up.

So which is it Candy Ass?

King Trump will bring down prices....... on day 1.
Except when it doesn't happen, your safe place is blaming Blue States or Blue Mayors in Red States.
It's ALWAYS the blame game with you.

What Did Trump Actually Say?

  • In August 2024 at a rally in Bozeman, Montana, Trump said:

“Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods.” Congressman Lloyd Doggett
  • He made similar remarks again in August, stating he would slash energy and electricity prices by half within 12–18 months. Congressman Lloyd Doggett
  • On October 1, 2024, on PBS NewsHour:

“Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again. We’ll do that. We’ve got to bring it down.” Congressman Lloyd Doggett
  • And in a New Jersey speech in August 2024, he emphasized energy, saying:

“When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on day one… ‘We will drill, baby, drill’… energy brought it up.” New York Post+1

You have to take into account the 35% or so inflation increase under the Xiden years. Look up the value of a 2020 dollar today, then add 10% because the inflation is likely under represented.

Are you denying that there was a gas tax INCREASE on July 1, 2025 in WA with more increases of 2% scheduled annually, moron? Maybe you should educate yourself--you clearly failed to educate anyone else in WA during your career at the public trough. Now tell us again how you don't support democrats. Typical lying democrat.
