Who's stupid now?

You're not shedding any new light on the subject for me, mal. In my view once it's established that Gates is the homeowner and that no crime was committed Crowley no longer has any right to be on that property and must leave. It's no longer a police matter ... Gates can either be cordial and thank him, or call him a racist, follow him into the yard and yell and scream all he wants as far as I'm concerned.
This is it in a nutshell. And that Crowley did not leave shows arrogance and a disregard for the population he serves. His being offended does not give him the right to abuse his authority.

gates doesn't own the home and he wasn't being particularly helpful in establishing that fact. gates brought it on himself, imo.
Doesn't matter, he's the legal resident.

What REALLY Matters is that he was Belligerent, Disorderly, Refusing to Present ID, and he was making Veiled Threats to an Officer...

That Officer should have Detained him MUCH Earlier and had he been a White Man, the Cop would have.

The Cop showed Unjustified Restraint with this Asshole because he's Black.

It's not like he was sent to Gitmo over the matter...

Sometimes there are Inconveniences when we agree to have a Police Force...

Sometimes we add to the Inconvenience when we are Dickheads @ 12:30 in the AM to a Cop at a House that Appears to have been, and in Fact WAS Burgalarized.

Had he simply showed ID and been a Reasonble Person, the Entire Incident would have been over in Minutes.

Instead, he had to Keep the Fuck REAL!...

The Chip on that Man's Shoulder would make the Average Person Collapse...

That's a LOT Racism to Harbor and still Function.

:)

So, what?

It is not illegal to be a racist. Why do you want it to be?

The cop was wrong. It was not the cop's home. Crowley was not a burglar.

That is all that matters.

I Never said I wanted Racism to be Criminalized, you Asshat...

To the Contrary, it is LIBERALS who want that in the Form of "Hate Crimes" and "Hate Speech" Laws.

As for what the Cop did...

He did his Job, and Gates Hindered it at least...

All he had to do was Present ID and be a Reasonable Person with an Officer who had Just Cause.

He didn't...

He got Arrested and got the Soap Box he so Desperately Needed.

Fuck him... He's a Racist.

When Henry Louis Gates Jr., a prominent Harvard professor of African-American studies, was arrested for disorderly conduct by a white Cambridge police officer last summer, President Obama led a chorus of critics denouncing the local Police Department.

Gates, who is African-American, described his arrest as a “teaching moment’’ about race relations in America.

His case drew national attention to the relationship between policing and race. Obama wound up hosting Gates and the officer who arrested him for a so-called beer summit at the White House. And the arrest, for some, raised the question of whether officers disproportionately arrest blacks for disorderly conduct, considered one of the most discretionary and most abused charges in the nation’s criminal justice system.

But a review of the Cambridge department’s handling of disorderly conduct cases from 2004 to 2009 finds no evidence of racial profiling. Instead, the analysis by the New England Center for Investigative Reporting finds that the most common factor linking people who are arrested in Cambridge for disorderly conduct is that they were allegedly screaming or cursing in front of police.

Lol! This is supposed to mean what? Other than the fact some sheep will eat propaganda if they like the flavor. The cop first said he had no idea who Gates was but as soon as he learned he changed his story to say he knew who Gates was..........does that need to be spelled out? Having lived in the Boston/Cambridge area for the past decade I'm going to have to go by empirical evidence and not some Study.

I think it is a valid study...however it doesn't prove that Officer Poop wasn't motivated by racism. But that hardly matters.

The cop was wrong.

The cop is a power tripping racist punk. Once Gates confirmed he lived there the cop had no more reason to be on his property and if you didn't know....the cops are supposed to defend free speech. Not arrest Americans on their own property for exercising free speech.

I don't think it's a valid study in any way. There are more than five times the amount of whites versus blacks in Cambridge yet the amount of Disorderly arrests varied by about 15%. You can make the numbers say whatever you want them to.

The cop was a prick and Obushama was a fucking sooper dumbass for getting involved at all. I wish he would have spent the time figuring out how to bring our troops home from afghanistan and iraq versus doing nothing but exploiting a local cop-abuse situation to try and make his "Peace Prize" look like less of a joke than what it has proven to be.

Once Gates confirmed he lived there .

Gates Refused to Produce ID at first...

Once he did, even with Gates Screaming and Launching Veiled Threats, the Cop Attempted to Leave and Gates Followed Continuing his Attacks...

The Cop Warned him Repeatedly to Stop yet he Continued.

Gates did this...

You're Issue is Ignorance on this Issue...

Ravi is simply being the Dishonest Troll that she is.

You don't know the facts of this case. At. All. The cop warned him repeatedly to....what? Be quiet in his own damn house? Gates did not "follow" the cop. After Gates presented ID the cop demanded he follow him out of the house and onto the front porch. Gates obliged the pig's demand and he got arrested for exercising free speech on his own property.

You better give this one up because you have no chance.

Once Gates proved he lived there the cop had no reason to remain on his property. The bitch cop didn't like what Gates was saying so he arrested him. Period. The cop was wrong which is why Cambridge dropped the charges.
Exactly. And mal continues to insist that because Gates kept accusing the cop of being a racist that somehow it was proper to arrest Gates.

:cuckoo:

That's the most fucked up thinking I've come across lately.

I Posted the Police Report on this Thread... Not even Gates Takes Issue with it, nor do the Witnesses there that evening.

Try again.
