I'd go with Reagan's. I'm not knocking Trump's speech, his presentations are very good - whenever he sticks to the script. With Reagan I felt his feelings were much more aligned with the words he spoke which naturally generated more trust.

I think trump is much better off script. I don’t support him because of his oratory skills.

It all depends on the context. I don't think you can logically compare two speeches made in completely different different situations, because it is the situation that gives the speech meaning.

The exact same speech made by Reagan, in China in front of the great wall, would not have any value.
Equally Trump's speech made in Finland, would also have no value.

Reagan's speech dealt with people of the same nation, and even the same city, being brutally oppressed and separated by the Soviet Union. Germans, being shot and killed, for wanting to see other Germans, on the other side of a bridge.

Moreover, they were being oppressed and harmed, and for wanting to escape their oppression by the government, they were shot and killed.

Reagan's speech was perfect for the moment, and was the embodiment of the entire evil that was the Socialists.

Trump's on the other hand, is valid and good, but not exactly the same.

The people coming here, are not being oppressed. They just want a better life.

All of those things I agree with, but we still have laws that must be obeyed.

We have to have a border. We have to have rules. We have to have control over who comes in the country.

So Trump's speech is exactly what fits this situation, and I agree with it.

So I don't know that the two speeches are comparable, given their drastically different contexts. But they were both what is needed at the moment the were given.
