Jon Stewartâs most condescending moment ever | Blaze Media
Beloved comedian, television host, and political commentator Jon Stewart is best known for his sarcastic political takes on "The Daily Show," which he hosted until 2015. Stewart passed on "The Daily Show" legacy to his successor Trevor Noah â but now, heâs about to be back in the saddle as the...

In a recently resurfaced interview with Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, Stewart revealed his more condescending side regarding child genital mutilation â and conservatives like Dave Rubin arenât pleased.
âWhy would the state of Arkansas step in to override parents, physicians, psychiatrists, endocrinologists who have developed guidelines?â Stewart asked Rutledge.
âWell, I think itâs important that all of those physicians, all of those experts, for every single one of them, thereâs an expert that says we donât need to allow children to be able to take those medications,â Rutledge shot back before Stewart interjected, âBut you know thatâs not true.â
âI donât know that thatâs not true,â Rutledge says, before adding that 98% of those with gender dysphoria are able to move past their issues without medical intervention.
âWow,â Stewart mocks, âthatâs an incredibly made up figure.â
âYouâre suggesting that protecting children means overriding the recommendations of the American Medical Association, the American Association of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society,â he continues.
But Jon Stewart is a man who recently questioned the medical establishment about the Covid Pandemic.

Jon Stewart Riffs on Coronavirus Lab Theories and Vaccine Science on âThe Late Showâ
Jon Stewart was the first in-studio guest on âThe Late Show With Stephen Colbertâ since the coronavirus pandemic began.

âI think we owe a great debt of gratitude to science,â Stewart said. âScience has, in many ways, helped ease the suffering of this pandemic, which was more than likely caused by science. Thereâs a novel respiratory coronavirus overtaking Wuhan, China. What do we do? Oh, you know who we could ask? The Wuhan novel respiratory coronavirus lab. The disease is the same name as the lab. Thatâs just a little too weird.â
Stewart jokingly compared the coronavirus outbreak to âan outbreak of chocolatey goodness near Hershey, Pennsylvania.â
âWhat do you think happened? Oh, I donât know, maybe a steam shovel made it with a cocoa bean,â Stewart said. âOr itâs the fucking chocolate factory. Maybe thatâs it.â
Stewartâs comments did receive pushback from those wary of peddling unfounded conspiracy theories about the virus. Colbert played the straight man to Stewart and asked whether Stewart was working for Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who has lied and spread misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic, and joked that they stopped filming while Stewart was mid-bit.
Stewart also riffed on other aspects of the pandemic during his âThe Late Showâ appearance, including his dismay that the worldâs response to pandemics â wear a mask and wash your hands â hadnât changed much in the last 100 years.
âI was really hoping that in 1918 theyâd be, like, âDrink a tincture of mercury and butterfly juice,'â Stewart said. âI was hoping itâd be some bizarre thing, like, âWeâve come a long way, baby.â Itâs the exact same [response].â
Would the real Jon Stewart stand up, or is he now trying to play PC all of a sudden after taking on his old show back again?
