In fact, the opposite is very frequently true as young people often rebel against their parents' ways. In fact its common for young people to start out being liberal and become more conservative as they get older. I grew up in a Democrat household. I have been a registered Republican since Obama showed us that the Democratic party was no longer the Democratic party that our parents or grandparents grew up with. I'm not the only one in my family who saw the light either.
