Which state would you move to, and why?

If we move to another state it would almost certainly be Texas or Arkansas where we would also have family. Being with friends and family is more important to us than location.

Probably Kentucky or Tennessee. I’m looking for somewhere with more traditional values, warmer climate than New England but outside the hurricane zone. I could go a bit further west as well.

I already did, from Washington to South Dakota, and an amazing number of others did the same. In the first year after I moved, four more houses were sold in my small town (about 1,000) to people from Washington and Oregon.

OMG. I hope you aren't diluting a great state like South Dakota with west coast 'woke' liberals. Or maybe you got real Americans trying to escape 'woke' liberals. :)

If they have a liberal taint, they're not flaunting it. I haven't really had any conversation with any of them.

When we abandoned California, decades ago, our 2nd choice was Alaska. We chose Nevada for the convenient travel options.

Now I would choose Alaska simply because we could get far enough away from the corrupt scum destroying this country that we wouldn't be affected.

such a place does not exist,,

but missouri comes close when you include the rivers,,

missouri has done me fine for 59 yrs so I see no reason to change,,
Probably spend the rest of my time here because I would miss the endless huge waters I explore and fish.
Although winters seem tougher to take, I would miss the snowmobile opportunities also. I can literally hit hundreds of miles of trails from my own property.
