I don't think fireworks should be banned, because that's government overreach.

IL bans fireworks sales, but you can drive over to Indiana and buy as many as you need from Krazy Kaplan.

No, seriously, if you drive to Indiana, you see this guy's signs about every mile.

Now, there are good reasons why you shouldn't use fireworks in residential areas. They can set off Veterans getting over PTSD, and they frighten pets.

But if you are a completely insensitive asshole who just wants to see things go Boom, have at it.

Why should sparklers be banned?

Thousands of emergency room visits July 4th and 5th is a very good reason and fireworks injuries including fireworks account for the bulk of the visits.
