Which belt in martial arts are you?

I have transcended from the belt system, the style of Urkel Won Do is much more politically correct and appropriate in our new environment. I am currently Yellow, which means I can still ask did I do that to the poleece.

I have a Karate yellow belt
In my image im to be seen with a white belt
Everyone who starts is a white belt when you pass your first test you receive the yellow belt

/---/ Green belt, tae kwon do chung do kwan. Billy Hong Master. Greenville SC. Tragically, he was on the South Korean airliner shot down by the Russians. When I moved to NY in 1972, it was hard to find TKD. Everyone taught the Japanese style, Okanawan, and it was hard to unlearn what I had spent so much time learning.

History - Hong's Tae Kwon do

Master Hyong Ung "Billy" Hong The late Master Hyong Ung Hong first started teaching Tae Kwon Do in 1961 - 63 to the Korean Army Combat Division. In 1963 - 64 he was the instructor for the Korean CIA and in 1964 - 65 he was a Korean Military Academy instructor. In 1965 he won the World Tae Kwon Do

Orange belt in Russia Sambo (mix of Judo and Jiu Jitsu). That was about 20 years ago lol

I can still easily shoot on non-trained people, take them to the ground, get into a mount and ground-pound.. if they reach up to block it’s cross arm breaker (break the elbow), if they roll away it’s rear naked choke until they’re asleep.

That’s about it for me

/——/ Thats about all you need. At 73, this is about all I can do in a pinch.

After showing my scars from street fights, and him checking my back ground a local martial arts master said I didn't need classes. He did go over some striking techniques to improve my skills but he said I was good as far as self defense.
They don't have a belt system for catch wrestling and kick boxing but I must be near the top level. :) I have taught others and I have heard stories where it came in handy for them.👍 His advice to me was to ''always keep one foot on the ground''
