Finland against the Red Army in 1940?WITHOUT GOOGLING, please
The USA. And it isn't even close.WITHOUT GOOGLING, please
I thouhg of this answer initirally, post atom bo!b, definitely. They didnt storm Normandy alone though and the U.S was mainly focused on Japan, they didnt face Germany at their height of power. The fact that it basically tooo the world to destroy the German machine is impressive. Pound for pound though, the U.S at that time.was.never going to be puncing much over their weit, they were the largest economy on earth with the most inventionsThe USA. And it isn't even close.
Probably the Wehrmacht.
Greece perhaps? Finland? Netherlands? Im judging this based on the fight within not technological dominance. All were small nation The Greeks were out manned and outweaponed but Italy couldn't conquer them they might be my pick.
Finland against the Red Army in 1940?
From the ones that fought in WW2, it was the Nazis.
Hitler was spreading outward at a fast pace, and it was a hard chore for the Americans and Brits to push back.
But as with all megalomaniacal dictators, they built themselves up too far, and fell on his face.
Too much, too soon, too spread out.
The USA. And it isn't even close.
Poland?
Luxembourg
German.
as far as i remember The Poles were occupied by the Germans (2 times ) and the Bolshevik hordes for 45 years, meanwhile Finns kept their independence. have you seen the video ? they did some math as wellThey lost. The Poles inflicted more damage to the Germans than the Finns did to the Russians
If memory serves the Finns fought the Red army to a stand still in 1944 also.as far as i remember The Poles were occupied by the Germans (2 times ) and the Bolshevik hordes for 45 years, meanwhile Finns kept their independence. have you seen the video ? they did some math as well
The Finns agreed to the Soviet demands, and continued to abide by them until the Soviet Union collapsed.as far as i remember The Poles were occupied by the Germans (2 times ) and the Bolshevik hordes for 45 years, meanwhile Finns kept their independence. have you seen the video ? they did some math as well

No, the Finns fought back to their original border and then stopped. The Germans tried like hell to get them to continue attacking but they refused. Which is why the Soviets let them live after the war.If memory serves the Finns fought the Red army to a stand still in 1944 also.
