Price is no object but you have to choose one to live out your life at.

A new double-wide on 10+ acres out in the Hinterlands. (Tenn.)

.....or a SFH in a mega subdivision? (TX)

....or a high rise city condo. (NYC)

I'm going with the double-wide. ;)

i hate trailers - but love untouched land - preferably with many trees. so i'd take the double wide. however, i am lucky enough to have an acre that abutts a state forest - so i gets 1200 acres tax free!

.

I kind of think I have the best of all worlds here. Large home on the edge of a tiny rural town, short drive to church and reasonable drive to shopping. I could deal with some acreage, but I'm probably to old to do much with it. I have enough dirt for a big garden and a small orchard. All I'm missing is a stream or a creek.

I can't see the NYC image but that is where I grew up so that would be my choice.

Texas burbs, I guess. I can't live in a tower, 'cause of my fear of fire, when it's not where it's supposed to be. Houses with wheels are cynader magnets. Those 2 and my shadow are my only fears.
Burb, track house on ten acres of tenn wasn't an option.

OMG, I was going to go with the high rise, but didn't think about fire. Yeah, I'm a hard no on living in the middle of nowhere in a trailer, so while I'm not a fan of house on top of each other I'd probably pick Texas.

At the moment I am not sure what housing makes sense. Just this morning I passed my two hundred ton masters test. With my sea time I qualify past intercoastal. I could conceivabley just live on a ship and see the world. I love fishing season on lake Erie. Likely to spend winter at sea. No one to watch over my place during the winter a condo may make more sense. If at home year around though 10 acres would be my pick.
