uh-huh. when she is wrong about something & i show her actual facts, she ignores all of it. that means she is willfully ignorant at times. lazy too if she doesn't want to find things out. even on her own.

She's like a daughter to me.

She has difficulty with complex issues that people want to discuss sometimes.

i fully understand that. i've cut her a lot of slack in that regard.

But she is as real and genuine as they come. Doesn't have a mean bone in her body.

i've seen enough of her posts to disagree with that.

It's about standing when relaying facts.

She probably doesn't believe you and doesn't know complex issues enough (like a lot of people) to competently discuss them or rebut them or demonstrate their irrelevance.
And so....in her mind, the facts as you present them must be wrong somehow. She doesn't believe everything she is told. (Nobody should)

And she will boldly go where angels fear to tread.

I'm not saying I support all of her positions but she does have a nack for being ahead of the curve. When I was saying that the 2020 election had fraud but not enough to matter she was right long before me. Now I've seen sufficient evidence to know that beyond all doubt Trump has won the last three elections. Biden lost, but the cheating made him appear to win.
And unless the Democrats come to terms with that they will continue to lose elections.

Of course she gets excited and says stuff. Stuff I'd never say....but I'm not her and grown daughters have their own minds about things.

For many people this is true.
Feelings override facts. Beliefs usually have a loose association with facts.
It becomes a "team" that you root for based upon some sort of association that these beliefs have once held.

People who became involved with Reagan's Republicans have stayed while Democrats are faithful to the Clinton's....for whatever reasons. Obama had dedicated followers? Not that I've seen.

I'm old enough to remember when Spiro had to resign and then Nixon himself. Then Tip O'Neal had to step down. The postage scandals as well as rubber check scandal (congress) which just about bankrupted a bank.

And considering how the once stalwart Govt accounting offices that put out economic data has been blatantly lying....facts aren't what they used to be.

So....
You just gotta go with your gut. Be pleasantly surprised when a politician does something to help the common person.
(Like Joe forgiving all those student loans was a pleasant surprise....especially after Trump refused to allow those who should have had their loans forgiven continue to make payments anyway)

No one president or congress is ever all that. But if we can make some friends along the way....those people matter more than ANY politician.
