Moderators only or other parties also?

With what I just got back today something went wrong. The poster I reported responded back to me in the report mode as well as a moderator
I've never reported any user, on any forum ever. Why? Why not just mock them? Forget the "debate." Many users need to be ridiculed.

As far as your report. I think it's funny they were so triggered that they responded to you. Woo!

.

That's pretty wretched and needs to be looked into. Is the person you reported an ex-mod, possibly abusing forum tools that are only to be used by staff?

Last time I looked, katsteve2012 was on duty. One of the better mods. Maybe ask them?

wut?
woooooo

WTF?

But in a way I'm fine with that.

I could care less if a member that I reported knew about it....And why.
Most things like that are usually confidential
I have not blocked anyone as I like the idiocy. Reports are because mods used to maintain they needed reports as they could not peruse all threads . Perhaps that like the advertisers thing I was told often years back has changed

There's another forum called "Reported Posts and User Interactions" that's invisible to you.
But not a selected few.?
A poster responded to my reported post with the same method a moderator uses to respond to a reported post.
How did that occur?

.

Far as I know, mods only, but I'd like to know the definitive answer to this question as well.

.
Reports bring the material to the mods.

I know they read them because they sometimes take action (needed or not and appropriate or not). But no mod has ever replied to me when I’ve shared such information. And only rarely will they take action on one of my reports about rules’ violations. They seem to jump all over shit when my posts get reported, though.

There ought to be some mod mechanism for advising what action they take when they get a report. Something like:

“Dear Back Again. I, moderator ‘?’ have read your report. As you know, we don’t act on complaints or reports from any conservatives. Therefore, of course, no action has been or will be taken. Thank you for taking the time to waste our time.”

If you want to send a PM with the details of when you sent your original report, perhaps we can find out what happened.

Can you add me to it so I can see it?

You have my reported one from early this afternoon already. Perhaps look into how I was responded to by a mod and another poster within minutes of each other .

Look, most of us have been all over the internet. The Mods here are as good as it gets. You may disagree or not like what they do but so what. Move on and see what you find. You'll be back.

You didn’t make a report today and if you had nobody other than the moderators would be able to see it. Whatever you did, you didn’t report the post.
