In 1992 they signed a treaty with Gorbachev to NOT ever join NATO.
So Zelensky constantly trying to join NATO is not just a treaty violation, but an act of war that makes the Ukraine deserve losing its independence entirely.

To put it in perspective, the Confederates And Confederate sympathizers seized Harpers Ferry arsenal and pro-American irregulars took it back while the Confederates fired and threw masonry from the roof into the crowd of on lookers.
