As expected, right wingers childishly repeat that no matter what the democrats do about Gorsuch's nomination, the guy will sit on the SCOTUS because republicans have the majority......and that is probably going to happen.
HOWEVER, there is a principle that democrats' opposition will uphold. Obama was denied Garland to even have a hearing among republicans, a breach of a Constitutional tenet. This arrogance cannot be condoned by democrats turning the other cheek. Fuck that.
I'm not very happy with the current lack of "leadership" among the democrat party. Objectively, this kind of leadership has led to a blanket majority of republicans in congress, possibly the SCOTUS and a charlatan in the WH, plus 2/3 of all states' governance. ......So, the current democratic leadership sucks, big time.
Given the above, NEW leadership for the DNC will have to emerge from the bottom-up, and the heavily attended demonstrations WILL yield much more powerful leaders to take this country forward from the regressive policies of republicans.
Bottom line..... Gorsuch will be appointed with little support from the majority of voters, as we can clearly attest based on who garnered the popular vote in this last election.
