How many orphans have I given to a homo? Lots. They'd be sitting in orphanages if it weren't for us liberals. You don't want to adopt them so really, how much do you value life once it is born. In fact you don't even want to pay taxes that fund orphanages.

One: If I could cut out all the spending for government funded health care, welfare, food stamps, and Obama Phones, and crap..... we could cut taxes by more than 50%, AND fund all your orphanages, and more. We could likely have all the children stay at the Hilton, and still have money left over.

Two: Practicing Christians (Christians who go to church more than twice in one week), are twice as likely to adopt a child, that the general public. And are THREE TIMES as likely to be a Foster parent, than the general public.

I've heard welfare to the poor is a drop in the bucket. If your going to make cuts stop cutting things that help the poor. Cut corporate welfare and military spending that isn't needed.

Socialist programs make up the vast majority of all government spending.
Government programs for the poor, generally do more to keep people poor, than anything else in this country.
Moreover, the poor end up paying taxes, to pay for these horrible programs you claim are for the poor, which actually harm them.
Lastly, quite frankly, I wager I have donated more money to the poor, and volunteered more hours to charities for the poor, than any 3 of you people combined. Could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Keep in mind government only steps in when it has to. Let me give you a great example. Republicans poison citizens in flint mi water with lead. Flint needs water. The federal government had to help because you didn't feel like helping.
Or Katrina. The feds had to help because you weren't charitable enough

Republicans know the poor pay taxes. You just don't call it that. You call social security and medicare taxes "contributions". If you believe that your crappy social programs are "contributions", then the poor don't pay any federal taxes, and almost half the population pay no tax.
If you realize your socialist programs are a tax, then you realize those programs are the worst poverty created, anti-poor programs to ever exist.
And even then, you also fail to realize just how many of these programs mandate spending at the State level, and local level, both of which tax everyone, including the poor, to pay for them. Obama Care for example, requires states to increase medicaid spending, which in turn requires higher taxes. This includes taxes on gasoline, telephones, property, sales tax, as well as income taxes, at both the state level and local level.
Last year I pulled just $23,000 of taxable income. Of that, I had to pay $3,000, or 13% of my massive income, in taxes, State, Federal, and local.
The vast majority of that money, did not go to military spending. Or the mythical corporate welfare. It went to social programs, of which I got zero benefit.
Every single one of the socialists programs performs badly, and free-market private alternative consistently do better.
Moreover, liberalism does not demand that "all of us" help others. It only demand OTHER people help others. Liberals donate the least to charity, volunteer the least, and help others the least. Conservatives give nearly double as much to charity, are far more generous their time, and volunteer far more often, as well as are more likely to adopt children than left wingers.
Finding a charitable left-winger is like finding a four leaf clover. They exist, but are so rare as to be a shock when you find one.
As for Flint Michigan, two key facts you failed to grasp.
One, the entire problem was caused by over-spending and fiscal irresponsibility of the left-wing democrats push bad policies in Flint over the prior decade. It never fails that the childish incompetent left-wing constantly dives head first into a train wreck, and then blames Republicans who are forced to clean up your juvenile failures.
Second, you are just flat out wrong. The single largest contribution to disaster relief in Flint, was Walmart, Nestle, Pepsi and Coke, which donated 6.5 Million bottles of water, not including the hundreds of thousands each donated separately before the combined effort.
That's not including millions of bottle donated by other private companies, foundations, charity organizations, and other donations by wealthy individuals.

The Southern Baptist Disaster Relief organization was in Flint Michigan. This religious organization has over 65,000 trained volunteers. 1550 Mobile units with showers, water purification, as well as child care and other things.
That's just one charity. And these backward, Kentucky based religious folks, were in Flint Michigan, before FEMA was.
And quite frankly, with Katrina, Walmart had more resources available to the people of New Orleans 2 weeks before the storm hit, than the government had 3 weeks after the storm was gone. In fact, volunteers, and charity organizations were forced out of New Orleans by the government. People reported showing up with boats, and rescue equipment, and trained personnel, and being told by armed police to leave.
Honestly, by some estimates, both New Orleans and Flint Michigan, would be better off, if the government disband FEMA, and gave the money to the public, or the charity organizations. Both would do a better job helping those in need, better than the government.
How pathetic is it, that left wingers have to have the government force charities out at the point of a gun, in order to claim "see! You need us!". Idiots.
