Gov. Wolf joined the departments of Health, Human Services and Education to discuss the current state of COVID-19 and a new Secretary of Health order requiring masks to be worn inside K-12 school buildings.

Lame Duck Governor Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania, reacting to the 10% neurotic parents in the Commonwealth and the recent surge of whichever variant it is, has imposed a state-wide mask mandate on schools and basically everyplace else where kids might congregate indoors that is run by the State. In doing so, he has overruled a couple hundred school boards and hundreds of school administrators in order to appease a small group of idiots who are too stupid to assess the data.

While the infamous "data" indicate that more 0-18 kids in the U.S. died of the common flu last year than COVID (about 300), politicians are frantic to DO SOMETHING, even when it makes no sense, than to be perceived as fiddling while Rome (in this case, Harrisburg) burns.

Why do they never seek to assess the COSTS of their decisions against the presumed benefits? Kids will be breathing through nasty, contaminated masks, getting less OXYGEN, having fewer meaningful interactions, having their activity levels artificially curtailed, in the absurd hope that by doing so a couple more of them will avoid this particular infection.

Wolf is a lame duck Governor and will never run for public office again. He is a wealthy businessman and needs nothing.
