Well all have that moment when something happens, someone says something, or a comment is made somewhere that makes us say to ourselves....

OH HELL, I'M OLD!!!

For me, it was when I was working at a fast food TexMex place called Two Pesos (that no longer exists).
I was at the grill one day standing next to a teenager (I was in my mid-late 20s) who was also grlling up some food.

We were joking around, I don't remember what about.....and one my my responses was "Hey BooBoo, thats some pic a nic basket".
I used my best Yogi voice I could.

He turned and looked at me and said "What the **** was THAT"???
I looked at him and asked if he ever watched cartoons growing up, and he said he did.
I asked if he ever saw a Yogi Bear cartoon, and he said no.

It was then, at that moment in time, I felt the snap of AGE hitting me like getting out of bed too fast and getting the bends.

When did YOU have your "OLD AGE EPIPHANY"?

When I saw my oldest niece step out from behind the wheel of a car and I thought she still looked like an elementary school kid I suppose. But in fairness, to this day, she still drives like she is in elementary school

There was a point where folks, mostly youngsters, would address me as 'Sir' .........at which i awkwardly looked behind myself........ ~S~
LOL, I've had many, but the one that stands out was when I was charged for my Taco Bell order and the clerk said "That'll be $xx with your senior discount."

Lately i go out the door full o' piss & vinegar, and come limpin' back home after a day of bull & jam.......~S~

When I went surfing and afterward instead of cleaning up going out to A southern rock bar to eat, shoot pool and flirt with the gals. I fell asleep in my truck in the beach parking lot. I needed a nap.

I am 67 but feel 25

When I was 37, I saw this strange single white hair on my head. I yanked it out and it was silver colored, gray hair!
I was in my twenties when a friends daughter saw a white hair in my mustache and pulled it. It's been all downhill for any other hair color since then.

I started dyeing my hair in my late 20s. Usually dark browns because I hated my mousy brown hair that resembled the color of a backed up sink.

I dabbled in other tones, shades, and went blond a couple of times. But after COVID happened and was sent home to work......I stopped, because it was just a waste of money.

After all the color grew out, my hair is grays and whites. The white is more like fishing line though.
I'd love to go to a salon and have it all made white, but I don't have the money right now.
