Remember the old story about the chess board and the wheat grains? We are seeing a demonstration of that with the sales of Tesla vehicles. Seems they are nearly doubling every year, and this years second quarter has been superb, and many models are already sold out for the third quarter;

"Tesla Inc. delivered 201,250 cars worldwide in the second quarter, a record for the electric-car maker led by Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk.

While the company doesn’t break out sales by region, business appeared healthy in China. The bulk of the period’s sales were of the Model 3 sedan and the Model Y crossover, which are produced in Shanghai and Fremont, California. The Model S sedan and Model X sport utility vehicle are made only in Fremont. The countries are Tesla’s biggest markets.

“Our teams have done an outstanding job navigating through global supply chain and logistics challenges,” Tesla said in a statement Friday."

We bought the 2021 Model 3 in the 2nd Qtr. We made a $100 deposit in early April and our new car was delivered to us on June 28th. It was made in Fremont, CA. We already owned a Chevy Bolt (2017) and now we will no longer visit a gas station.

Driving both cars while having to use only one pedal was new to us with the Bolt, and they are a pleasure to drive. Off course there's a break pedal, but it is used in the Bolt when in reverse, not so in the Tesla.
