Isn't it the laborers fault? I hear small business owners complaining all the time they can't find good workers. Well, if you refuse to pay what they need to survive, I guess that's your problem as a business owner. You need to pay more. But if the laborer stays for what he's being paid, that's on him.

Are there no better jobs in this persons area? The person can form a union or threaten to quit. If it's a big city there are probably better jobs around to be had. If we are talking a small town with limited jobs, the worker is probably stuck taking whatever the business owner is willing to pay. And the person is just happy to have a job. Perfect example are Walmart jobs in the country. Those employees are the envy of the town. They have jobs. Probably a wife or kid who works there to help supplement the husbands income.

This is why Republicans wanted to destroy unions. Once 35% of us were in unions. Today it's more like 5% of us are in unions. Still unions raise all our wages. When they get raises, suddenly a couple months later our companies start giving out raises too. They're afraid we'll organize.
