I do believe there is enough evidence point to a purposeful attempt on Trump's life however.

They haven't convinced him to step away .. they are politically gearing up to boot him from his nomination with the ruse of stepping away.

Fortunately, Biden is already pushing back against democrat leadership and their demands to leave. I just love watching Democrats shooting themselves in the foot (multiple times) in such a short period of time, and they just keep on doing it.

Well it looks like it's going to happen so no need to debate it.

I seriously doubt the polls on it though. They are notoriously unreliable. At this point perhaps it is better for Biden as well as his party. He didn't want to run in the first place....maybe he knew.

While I am enjoying watching the flop sweat as Biden standing down would pretty much remove Trump's only real issue (in fact, once a younger person runs, Trump being too old and demented becomes the issue), a couple of points.

When he ran in 2020, Biden implied that he would only be a transitional, one-term president. He should have stuck to that and let the process play out in the primaries as to who would replace him.

Second, Trump really isn't getting the mileage out of the assassination attempt he expected, mostly because - wait for it- the guy turned out to be one of his own supporters. Whoops.
