What You'd Most Like To See During The SOTU Address Tomorrow Night

What I'd like to hear?

The Border is secure. <-- that is a real item on the State of our Union. It is strong and standing tall against the world.

He needs to do more to pull back spending. What is his plan?

I'd like to hear him announce that he is cutting all foreign aid to countries that hate us and that the funds will now be spent in the United States, helping our citizens learn to live and support themselves without government aid.

I want to hear his plan for diminishing Central and South America's threat to the US.

I want to know what his plan is to restore our Universities to Academic Freedom. No federal dollars should be spent on any University in the nation until they initiate a plan to return academic freedom. I'd also like to hear an announcement that all federal dollars for student loans is ended.

There are a dozen other issues I'd like him to outline plans for, but let's be real. This is a throwaway SOTU speech.

If he wins the midterm, it won't matter. If he loses the midterm, it won't matter.

Some things take more time than he has left and I WILL not vote for a third term.

I have no plans to watch the SOTU speech's along with the other sides rebuttal have become jokes no matter who is giving them it wouldn't bother me if they did away with it. To me the only ones who care about them anymore are the 24-hour cable news networks, so they have something to fill time with for a couple days while the endlessly analyze the speeches.

Well that's a given. Trump is central in Trump's world, but usually for good reason as all this stuff getting done is getting done because of HIM. And I don't see any democrats nor Nobel committees exactly lavishing Trump with any credit nor praise.

We shall see. I expect Trump will lay out a lot, including what the future is for Iran. I understand the bastards have been scrambling trying to put back together their nuke facilities to enrich uranium again!

Trump needs to lay the groundwork tomorrow for the GOP to kill it in the midterms so that we have full control of the congress and have an unstoppable mandate over the democrats going forward.

Me too, thing is, it's impossible to have civility unless BOTH sides cooperate and we both know that ship has sailed on the democrats.

It would not surprise me if democrats don't bring whistles into the house chamber and start blowing them to try to drown Trump out from speaking.

It is then I hope Johnson finally gets serious and has a bunch of marshals come in and arrest 30 or do democrats and charge them with obstruction of an official federal proceeding.

In fact, I hope Trump and the GOP have security around the Capitol at least tripled over its normal level.

I always voted for trump. When he starts bragging, and he will, not in a way to explain his acts, but as a man who loves to brag always does.; When he says God Bless trump, I might quit watching him.

I think that JD is starting to get his legs under him. He already destroys most of the left media.

He needs to pace it, however. He needs to be full stride Presidential material in the Summer of 28.

There are several kinds of bragging, both good and bad:

• Democrats bragging they "chased ICE away and made them cave" while actually accomplishing no such thing while interfering in LE operations is bad bragging.
• Thom Edison bragging he invented the light bulb when all he really did was perfect some ideas started by others: embarrassing self-embellishment.
• Trump bragging he did this that and the other thing which he actually did this, that and the other thing; maybe not in the best of taste, but he got all that stuff done, and I won't hold my breath waiting for international recognition from Nobel for the 8 wars he ended, the stabilization of Gaza, and the efforts with Russia and Ukraine.

I agree. Rubio is lights out and I see a big future for him. I see Vance as a potential Trump on steroids, carrying forward a Trump-like agenda but with a younger approach, more youthful zest, and a fresh style all his own. If democrats find Trump hard to deal with, I think Vance will be all the harder to attack.
