After the reunion of German he was about 90 years old when he decided not to be a Commie any longer because he found out what the Stasi really had done.

The death factories of the Nazis work with all forms of ideology. It is no joke when I said the Jews had been Germans like all others. They had been Germans like all others - whether they spoke German (in Germany) or Yiddish (in East-Europe). Only a marker made this difference. The Nazis made just simple Germans to Aryans - what was and is a totally stupid bullshit. Never any German had been an Aryan. But in this way they had been able to exclude the Jews by calling them "Semites" - what also most Jews on their own saw in themselves.
In this way they seperated Germans into Germans and Jews. (Indeed everyone is a native German who is able to speak with other native Germans without the help of an interpreter). So the Holocaust was for Germans indeed a fratricide. Only for the Europeans in the East who not had been Germans this had been a genocide.

Mussolini split from the socialists in 1919. Fascism was embraced by hard right conservatives Italians.

I spent over a year living in Germany and have studied what Hitler did. I do not see your proof he jailed a lot of Democrats.

What's a totally stupid nonsense. The SPD - the social democrats of Germany - are the eldest political party with the longest tradition at all in Germany. And they had been the only political party of many political parties who voted against the enabling act of Hitler which allowed him to deny the unwritten natural [human] rights and to ignore the written civil rights including the whole German constitution.

I lived, studied and worked different jobs in Germany about 50 years ago when many German WW 2 survivors were still alive and sometimes willing to talk, candidly, about their life before, during and after the war.

Since I also hitch-hiked all around Europe, the Balkans, Turkey, the Middle East etc, I met and sometimes stayed with the many kind people who gave me rides, meals and accounts of the pre War years, War years and frequently cruel post War years.

It may have been because I was fluent enough in "High German", Middle German and the different regional dialects that they thought that I was German or it may have been because I, too, was intimately familiar with the horrors of war but I was surprised at the degree to which someone will open up to a complete stranger about their war time experiences when they are reluctant to do so around friends and family.

We are slowly but surely devolving back to this period as a betrayal in the belief in G-d is once again becoming fashionable. When men lose their humanity and are no longer willing to fight for basic good, evil will enthusiastically fill the vacuum.
