Singling out a vulnerable group for persecution is a favorite tactic of authoritarians everywhere. Of course it's always for the good of the nation but in the end it's the same old fascism song and dance. They need an enemy within to justify building a police state.

Its one of the most bizarre things about Trumpism...how they've gone from "MAGA"--making America great again-- to shipping human beings 1,000s of miles from where they are for nothing other than sheer mean-ness. It doesn't make America greater. It is a sick disgusting practice that you'd hope someone on the right would point out is not what anyone should be doing to anyone. Instead...total silence.

It is the most telling barometer of just how far the GOP has sunk from the "shining city on the hill" Reagan talked about.

Above any political fallout involving the GOP and politics...it's just sad...this is how they show they are "looking out for you"...by attacking the least equipped.
