Free market healthcare means a drop in coverage for those with preexisting conditions and people having to sell off their homes to pay medical bills.
So when you go to sign up with a new auto insurance company... And they see you've had two accidents and two license suspensions for late payments, do you think it's well within their rights to either: A) Not cover you, or B) Cover you, but charge you a higher price?
What about banks? If one has a healthy credit score of 805 with a clean report, and another has a 604 with a bankruptcy within the last 5 years, do you think the person with an 805 score should have the same interest rate (thus payment) as the person with a bankruptcy?
What about this one... If you're a life insurance underwriter, do you cover the guy that's a police officer, with a history of dangerous activity outside of his occupation the same rate as someone who works as a teacher at an elementary school and goes home to a family and watches TV every night?
Why don't YOU pay the same premium as those who are constantly defaulting on their loans, car insurance payments, being irresponsible and causing accidents on the roads more than the average person, and the person who's a police officer despite
not living that risky lifestyle. You can't punish the responsible people (i.e: healthy people with a few exceptions like cancer or type I diabetes) by charging them the same amount as those who eat an unhealthy diet, never exercise, drink alcohol like a fish, and would rather sleep with 20 people and catch an STD than sleep with a few people and not catch the disease.
A little common sense advice for you... The democrats don't know anything about healthcare. They came up with this plan that fined people (freedom anyone?) for not wanting to pay for ridiculously expensive healthcare that doesn't even cover you until you reach a $5,000 or similar deductible, essentially making it worthless to those who actually work a job and never go to the doctor because they're healthy people. So the person who doesn't constantly suck away the resources the insurance companies use basically pay the same or more than those who suck from the system on a regular basis... It's bull shit.
