VR isn't real. VR groping isn't real groping. What should society do about imaginary groping?
Yes thats my question. If you see something being done in virtual reality it appears real and has the same effect as if someone is actually doing it to you. What should be done?
It's not real so nothing should be done. Take your VR scimitar and VR take off his head. Or is that murder? Does killing someone in VR have the same effect as actually doing it to you? Aren't you really dead?
How about a violent VR beating and rape? Do we take the victim to the hospital and treat VR broken bones or take a VR rape kit? Oh. Here's better. Give a VR morning after pill in case of VR pregnancy.
Surely even you have more sense than this. Even allowing for diminished capacity blackness you have more sense than this.
