My apologies to the original poster of this topic, I'm pretty sure there IS already a thread on this. I wanted to post this before I forgot about it. Combining song titles CAN be fun, here are a couple I thought of - "Born To Run In The USA" by Bruce Springsteen, and "Somebody Find Me A Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen. Let's have some fun with this!

Fun Farm Fun

Well, she got her daddy's John Deere
And she cruised to the small town, now
Seems she forgot all about the hog barn
Like she told her old man, now
And with the radio blasting
Goes cruising just as fast as she can now

[Chorus]
And she'll have fun, farm, fun till her daddy takes the John Deere away
(Fun, farm, fun, 'till her daddy takes the John Deere away)

[Verse 2]
Well, the girls can't stand her
'Cause she walks, looks and drives like an Ace, now
(You walk like an ace now, you walk like an ace)
She makes the county fair look like a Roman chariot race, now
(You look like an ace now, you look like an ace)
A lot of guys try to catch her
But she leads them on a wild goose chase, now

[Chorus]
And she'll have fun, farm, fun till her daddy takes the John Deere away
(Fun, farm, fun, 'till her daddy takes the John Deere away)

[Verse 3]
Well, you knew all along
That your dad was getting wise to you, now
(You shouldn't have lied now, you shouldn't have lied)
And since he took your set of keys
You've been thinking that your fun is all through, now
(You shouldn't have lied now, you shouldn't have lied)
But you can come along with me
'Cause we've got a lot of things to do, now
(You shouldn't have lied now, you shouldn't have lied)

[Chorus]
And we'll have fun, farm, fun now that daddy took the John Deere away
(Fun, farm, fun, now her daddy took the John Deere away)
And we'll have fun, farm, fun now that daddy took the John Deere away
(Fun, farm, fun, now her daddy took the John Deere away)

[Outro]
Wooo-ooo-Aaaah!
(Fun, farm, now her daddy took the John Deere away)
(Fun, farm, now her daddy took the John Deere away)
Wooo-ooo-Aaaah!
(Fun, farm, now her daddy took the John Deere away)
(Fun, farm, now her daddy took the John Deere away)

Probably not what you're looking for but it's a Damaged Eagle converted parady song.

Good one! Thanks, DE.

Surfing With the Alien Dogs

Nice one, Angelo!

Your astute use of a Joe Satriani song has spurred my somewhat?!? frazzled brain into coming up with two new ones of my own - "Flying In A Blue Bayou Dream", combining Joe and Roy Orbison (Linda Ronstadt had a huge cover hit with it, as well) songs - Interesting side note, Joe and Linda share a birthday, July 15th, which is also my brother's b-day. My other title combo - "Suddenly Last Summer Song", combining The Motels and Joe Satriani song titles.

Thanks Bluz, The last person to call me astute was my 10th grade
American literature teacher, Mr Lewis.

You're welcome, Angelo. From your posts, you appear QUITE astute to me. I don't recall that I was ever called astute by any of MY teachers. Stooge or stupid, maybe.........

Same goes for you my friend. So I got lucky, you could say, (still alive and well at 58)
many times over.... I did go to college for long enough to realize I didn't know what I wanted
to do, so for awhile I skated around possibly architecture, oceanography and commercial art/ photojournalism, music... but wound up moving to NYC to work around Wall Street. Tried that awhile - awesome experience living in the Big Apple ....learned 20 times more there in 2 years than in 14 years of school combined.

Wow, that time in New York City must've been exciting. I've been there just once, when I was about 5 years old. I don't remember much, other than I was amazed at all of the huge buildings there, and the scenic view from my aunt and uncle's apartment or house where we stayed during our visit. You and I have some interesting things in common, other than our knowledge of music. I'm almost the same age as you, I'm 59, was born in March of 1961. I also never graduated from college. (Not sure whether YOU did, actually.) I spent some time at NAU, Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. I also attended a few semesters at Glendale Community College, in Glendale, Arizona, a suburb RIGHT next to Phoenix. The last college course I took was just for fun, a Science Fiction class at Paradise Community College, in north central Phoenix, in 1989. (I can't believe that was 31 years ago!) I learned more about life in my roughly 6 years of working in group homes for mentally and physically disabled adults, than I could've EVER hoped to learn from going to college.
