it does for the rest of us,,Not in the individual market, it has zero impact on anyone buying on their own. And not impact much in the group market, either.
Hmm,...I was trying to think of a "progressive" policy that has worked out well during the past 50 years, but I couldn't come up with any. Can you?
ThanksOthers may have had different experiences but I personally benefited greatly from Obamacare. Keeping my kids on until they turned 26 was a windfall and cost the insurance companies almost nothing. Win, win. I know of others who benefited by the elimination of pre-existing condition restrictions. Our country's healthcare system is horrible but the ADA was an improvement and would likely have been even better if the GOP had not been trying to sabotage it for mainly political reasons.
Blame you insurance company. It was a disaster for me. Not only did the plan I had and liked disappear, but my premium and deductible both went up significantly. And my regular doctor didn’t accept it, so I had to switch.
Then, to make matters worse, I developed a medical condition (since resolved, but took years) for which NO specialist was in-network and nobody would accept the Obamacare plan. After days on the phone, calling every specialist within a 50-mile radius, I finally found one who would accept cash, based on what Medicare would have paid. So, in addition to the higher premiums, I had to pay for my doctor. I was out a fortune, and yet Obama considered me “insured.”
The only thing that allowed me to escape the nightmare of Ocare was turning 65.
So you mean the US has become more conservative?Well, they sure have "progressed" society right back to the day when a person is judged on the color of their skin rather than the content of their character, haven't they?
In response to Obamacare. They had to add in stuff, and the original plan disappeared. Happened all over the country.Blame you insurance company.
THEY changed your plan.
Not Obama.
Bigotry is more common among the left. I live in a liberal county, and we’ve been warned not to wear Jewish jewelry, and we now need armed guards at services. So you mean the US has become more conservative?
Sorry, being racist is a conservative thing. Check your mirror for MAGATS
Except the costs of healthcare for my children between 21 and 26 was minimal. Since they weren't working immediately after graduation, I would have picked up their premiums. The reality here is that I would have been subsidizing the health care of others, possibly people like you.The insurance companies weren’t losers because they didn’t get extra premiums to cover your adult children. People like ME were hit with massive premiums to make up for it.
Liberals need to learn that there is no free lunch. When your affluent family is getting something for free, middle income people are paying for it.
No, they didn't.In response to Obamacare. They had to add in stuff, and the original plan disappeared. Happened all over the country.
Obamacare was a nightmare for millions of people. You were often better off paying cash. Nearly $1000 a month for a useless plan, so that other people could get it free.
BULL SHIT.Bigotry is more common among the left. I live in a liberal county, and we’ve been warned not to wear Jewish jewelry, and we now need armed guards at services.
ok.when nI was growing up they said we would be in an ice age within a few yrs,, 50 yrs later its just another boogyman,,
best to not live your life like the world will end tomorrow,,
more so when they take on student debts for jobs that dont exist,,ok.
but sometimes it really does become unaffordable for the next generation to carry on in the same way.
just saying.
attitude matters, but so does reality.
depression occur. it does mean everone is a loser.
i used to be a dumb neocon too, who judged in this manner.
partially true. yes.more so when they take on student debts for jobs that dont exist,,
their attitude is the world owes me,,
wouldnt want to be them when reality hits them smack in the face,,
whats this we shit??partially true. yes.
but still they were advised to do this by adults in theirs lives, teachers, counselors, parents....
doesn't mean they should get bailed out. im not for that either.
but empathy? yes, we can afford that.
maybe we can learn to not mislead the children?
Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. So I take your question as "What Democrat policy has actually benefited Americans?" I come up with one, Social Security. That's all I got. Oh wait you said the last 50 years. Then it's zero.
The PPACA
The EPA
OSHA
The Civil Rights Law
Fair Housing Law
Non-Discrimination Laws
Minimum Wage Law
Examples of great conservative policies in last 50 years
Declaring an embryo a child
Doesn’t impact me, but that has no bearing on whether it was a good and widely popular policy (it was).it does for the rest of us,,
but hey as long as youre happy who really gives a fuck about the rest of us,,
well as long as it doesnt impact you I guess the rest of us can go fuck ourselves,,Doesn’t impact me, but that has no bearing on whether it was a good and widely popular policy (it was).
