I voted because I believed it was a civic responsibility. Now I wonder if my vote matters one little bit. Same shit different pitch once they get in. I am much more comfortable voting on local issues and candidates. The effects of the issues are more easily seen. The candidates I know personally. State wide and National elections are different. Not sure I will continue to be involved in them

You raise a good point. There is a difference between local elections and national ones.

They are two different animals altogether.

You can look at it two different ways.

One way is to think that you are doing your civic responsibility by voting.

The other, however, is choosing not to vote if you think that they system you are voting for in either party, is bad for the country. In effect, your nonvote because a vote of protest in such a scenerio.

The lower the voting participation numbers, the worse the said democracy looks. Imagine an election, for example, where only 10% of the population votes. Does such a regime really have any legitimacy?

I have issues with both parties but more with the Democrats particularly over the last 40 plus years and its getting even more pronounced over the last 10 or 12 years. I mostly vote based on the lesser of two objectionable candidates.

Surely you have never voted someone into office and not at some point disgreed with what they said or did?

Also, when they campaigned, did you not disagree with any of their policies? An indication of a cult, after all, is full support for one individual or party without any disagreement whatsoever.

And after the election, about 20% of voters said they would never have voted for Biden had they known about the laptop scandal, thus altering an election by the Biden administration. Did it change the outcome of the election? We will never know.

Now add to the list rigging elections with gerrymandering, something pond scum like yourself is proud of.

Then when you get into power, you will hunt down MAGA and throw them in jail wherever and whenever you can, after you impeach Trump with probably a combo with the 25th amendment, and then pack the courts and add a bunch of bogus blue states like DC and Porto Rico.
