When and why did this change?
It changed with the Civil War, dolt.
I mean, seriously, where did you go to school? Dumb Ass U?
The Suthern States, dimocraps, didn't like the way the Country was headed. We were becoming a decidedly Anti-Slavery Country. And dimocrap scum didn't like that.
They tried to win at the Ballot Box and when that failed, they tried to intimidate the North Militarily.
They failed. Miserably. As in -- They got their asses kicked royally.
Were the Southern States right in their view of our 'Federalism'? Possibly so. But they weren't interested in States Rights other than the Right to continue the Institution of Slavery.
When the North won, States Rights took a serious back seat. Was that wrong? Possibly so but it was a natural reaction to losing 400,000 Men to a scumbag dimocrap FILTH desire to maintain Slavery so dimocrap scum could live in Mansions and have hundreds of slaves tending to their every need..... And picking cotton for them. Among other things.
The same thing can be said of dimocrap scum today. They live in Mansions, grifting off the Working American. They have a powerful hold on what makes them wealthy and allows them to live in those mansions.
And they don't want to lose it. Do you think the wealthy Vineyard Owners in Kaliphony want to lose all that cheap Mexican Labor? How about the wealthy Avacado Farmers?
The situation is different today from what it was a 160-200 years ago, but it's the same set of scumbags causing the trouble -- dimocrap scumbags. AWhether they're in Law Offices in New Yawk or DC, or running a Vineyard, or in Hollywood or Bawstawn
