What is your view of Christian Nationalism?

As a Christian, I am in no way in favor of theocracy, however, I do believe Christians have a duty to be involved in the affairs of society to make the world a better place, just like everyone else. In that sense, there is no, or at least should not be, a separation of church and state.

But let's be honest, the term Christian Nationalism has been coined by the Left to be interpreted Nazi Fascist as it has become one of those dog whistle terms to identify evil in the world.

However, if being a Nationalist is Hitler like, something you refuse to participate in because you are soooo much more righteous than those concerned with their nation, why do you participate in politics? Are you there to promote global interests instead of national interests, or something else altogether?

Go!!!

The name is a misnomer.

Christians, like every other American, should participate in politics and government. What I dislike are clergy that use their position to coerce people to vote for one or another candidate implying they know what God would do, e.g., the Pope should never 'say you'll go to hell if you vote for Trump'.

Should Christians have been coerced and/or encouraged by their clergy to oppose the Nazi party in Germany?

If you go to Prog churches, well, lets just say it is like a political office.

Pastors are required to tell the truth. The problem we have had is that too many pastors refuse to preach the truth and have opted for political relevance.

A Christian nationalist is someone of the Christian faith who is also an American Patriot.
I find that it has a lot of different meanings to a lot of different people, which is why I bring it up, much like the differences when they hear the terms conservative/liberal or even socialism.

How can people have debates over these things when they are talking about two different things unbeknownst to them?

This is why I prefer clarity over agreement. The Left loves to muddy the waters so that there is no clarity, therefore, there can never be any reasonable agreements over anything.

Why don't you answer my questions?

When you vote, are you voting for the political welfare of your country, and if so, is that nationalism?

If not, why do you vote?

I don't think this is a political issue. Clergy are merely human and don't have the voice of God in their ear. They should offer their educated opinions on morality, e.g., oppose Nazis, but don't claim they know what is God's will.

We can't know the will of God?

Can we know that not being a Nazi is the will of God?

The problem with Christianity is Christians.

Theocracies don’t work. We’re not Iran.
The problem with human beings is human beings.

I realize you THINK that the problem with the world is Christianity and little else, but that simply is not the case and is bigoted.

In fact, the world is a better place because of Christianity. Most of our hospitals and Universities and even having a Sabbath boils down to a Judeo-Christian past. It is a past where the Founding Fathers were heavily influenced by it, and came up with the most brilliant of Constitutions in human history, yet the atheist continues to beat the drum that the real problem with the world is religion.

I do agree that theocracies do not work, however.

All I did was define the meanings of the words. Democrats have, as usual, twisted the meaning to mean some kind of far right radical group which is a fantasy of their own making. Marxists do that sort of thing to rile a population and cause discord.

But its not the truth, voting for either side is not relevant to whether or not you go to Heaven or hell

Not all Christians are created equal under Christian Nationalism.

Are Catholics Christian?

How about Mormons?

Christian Scientists?

What about liberal Protestants and denominations?

You know Christian’s can’t agree who a Christian which is why the founding fathers were wise enough to separate church and state. Too bad that wall is now being breached.

Go!!!

You are leaving out the racial aspect that runs through the christian nationalist movement.

And what it is is an attempt at theocracy, which is not what the USA is about.
