A New Mexico Democrat, Miguel Garcia, sent an email to the party ‘big-wigs’ supporting another hispanic candidate, but also telling those same big-wigs not to support the ‘anglo’ (or white) candidates they are running against:’
A minority of unsuspecting Democratic leaders are supporting the Democratic Anglo newcomer opponents in Andrew’s and Frank’s primary races. Anglo Democrats with egos as big as Texas, mouths as big as the Grand Canyon, and much “green” [moolah] from the East and the West Coast.
Even the candidate Garcia was supporting found the comments offensive. Garcia’s defense? Oh, you weren’t supposed to see that email.
