I had a friend who was blind in one eye from birth. I once asked him what it was that he saw or thought he saw in the blind eye.

He said, "Nothing". To get me to understand, he said to me, "Try to see out of your elbow or a shoulder. Can you see it?

Of course it depends on how nothing is used as in; I've had nothing to eat all day.

I kind of meditate on this from time to time.

My thought process is to start by eliminating any and everything of substance and if anything else can be imagined, get rid of it by saying "not even that."
