However, this article is saying that President Trump wants to clean out Gaza so is that still considered genocide? I mean I get why he wants to do it but not everybody there is a terrorist. My suspicion is that it's a fake article

Hamas is not a standing army. So bombing Palestinians en masse in hoping that it will kill enough of Hamas to make a difference (and hitting mostly civilians)....is just genocide.
And...just making more enemies..and perpetuating the cycle.

The only way to win a war like this is to win the hearts and minds. So that the people are given an incentive to turn the worst elements of them in.
