What if the NFL went virtual like the debates?

What would have happened if the NFL had tried what the debate commission is attempting to pull? Let’s say that in 2007 with New England Patriots and the New York Giants about to play in the Super Bowl, the NFL decided that officiating was so important that they could not risk the outcome of the game by letting the players just play. So, they decided it would be best for a virtual game to be played. Each team would send in their plays remotely and the officials would decide by committee if the play was successful. No actual passes would be thrown, no real running plays would be used, and no genuine tackles would take place.

Can you guess what that would hatch? It would probably put the NFL out of business instantly. Who on Earth thinks it is a good idea to let arrogant flag-throwing officials ruin the entire system? Unless of course those officials are secretly rooting for one of teams; it would then make sense. It would end the game as we know it but that last Super Bowl would be taken by the officials’ favorite team and the patriots would have had their elusive perfect season. Now do you get what is happening?
