Shouldn't you be blaming the republicans for this. Go back and check your history but it was the gop who refused to produce a clean bill to raise the debt ceiling. Their refusal took us to the edge which led to the downgrade. When the rating company announced the downgrade they clearly stated it was the gop behavior that caused that downgrade.
