Did Smuckers quit making SmuckersĀ® Blueberry Syrup. I put it on the list for PJ to pick up at Kroger, wanting some on french toast. It was not available. She check Walmart. Not on the shelf. I just searched Amazon. It listed a 3-pack containing Strawberry, Blackberry and Blueberry, no pricing, product unavailable at this time. What gives?

We've noticed a few products that we've used for years that have been discontinued. Campbell's Cream of Asparagus condensed soup is one. The wife has a casserole that she makes with it and it isn't available anymore. We discovered the difficulty in getting it about a year ago. I found a case online and bought it, but it is about gone. I'll miss that dish.

Let’s hope this crap is taken off the shelf. Highly processed, full of corn syrup, 51 carbs 44 of it sugar. Americans deserve much better.

Perhaps Americans do deserve better, but we should let the Americans decide for themselves.

I read somewhere that Smuckers is revamping a lot of its products to adjust to changing American preferences and tastes. Blueberry syrup was included in that makeover.

But there are several recipes on line to make your own blueberry syrup with or without sugar added. That could actually be healthier alternative. Smuckers blueberry syrup, while tasty, isn't/wasn't especially healthy.

Mass produced stuff is never as good as home made. We have a lot of touristy places around here that sell huckleberry syrup. I bought a bottle and was thoroughly disappointed so I learned to make my own. It is surprisingly simple to do.

I use organic stevia, it is a better health option to corn syrup, the only problem is stevia is much sweeter, so you have to adjust down, but homemade is a lot better for all of us. Processed foods have increased cancer rates, diabetes rates and heart disease rates.

With mass produced products what you are buying is consistency.

Blah!

King Syrup for the win!

No fillers, preservatives, GMOs, or artificial anything.

At King SyrupĀ®, we still make molasses syrup the way Jens King did back in 1915 using his original time-honored technique and attention to quality.

Pure sugarcane is sourced from trusted growers in the United States. Cane taps are opened and the raw sugarcane juice flows out. This juice is then boiled to concentrate its natural sugars. As water evaporates, the sugar content rises until the syrup reaches just the right viscosity.

Slow cooking is essential to developing the deep, complex flavors that make King SyrupĀ® so distinctive. Our molasses is cooked low and slow, allowing robust, bittersweet notes to emerge. Rapid boiling would ruin this delicate process.

The result is a lusciously thick molasses with a rich mahogany color. Its smooth, velvety texture coats the tongue, while aromas of brown sugar, rum, vanilla, and spice dance through each mouthwatering bite. This is old fashioned molasses at its very best!

Yes. I make my own strawberry syrup for ice cream topping. Takes about 15-20 minutes total with three ingredients--water, strawberries (I use frozen) and sugar that I substitute with a Stevia blend. Tastes a whole lot better than the bottled stuff.
1 cup water - 1 cup sugar (or substitute) - 2 cups strawberries. Boil for 10 minutes then simmer until strawberries are very mushy and syrup has thickened a bit. Some then strain the sauce into the storage container. I use a hand mixer to puree what's left and use it all which probably constitutes a sauce instead of a syrup. But whatever somebody wants.
