The fundamental difference between the GOP and the DNC is that the GOP generally wants to put the interests of Americans first wherein the DNC does not. As far as I can tell, the DNC's only interest is in their own wealth and power. Trump could have cured cancer and turned every American into a millionaire and the Democrats would still oppose him.

Trump had the easy life and he gave it all up to work for free and to be hated by leftists like you and all because he wants to help average Americans.

He gave up nothing - he gets non stop media attention, he can endlessly tweet, he can consume cheeseburgers in one hand and tweet with the other...he hoped his business' would prosper (all those patents that suddenly went to Ivanka) - but the Trump name is no longer golden.

He's no altruistic person. If he wanted to help the average American...the tax cuts would have been structured differently....they sure helped him and his rich cronies though.

I think you miss an important point here.

I (a leftist) despised Bush's politics and policies, though there were a few I liked and I totally liked his handling of 9/11. Despite what I felt about his politics - I always felt like he was a decent Human Being who sincerely believed in public service and held the best interests of the country in mind (though I disagreed with the paths he took).

I think your photo brings something to the forefront that is important. Politicians used to be able to spar, compromise, legislate and then get together for a beer regardless of party.

Bush did not do anything impeachable, and though I believe Trump is guilty of obstruction according to the Mueller report - it's not impeachable.

I think that abusing his power in the way it appears with Ukraine is too much to be ignored even though it carries a political cost. They know it won't get through the senate, but it can't be ignored.

Pelosi is, above all, a shrewd and skilled politician and tactician. Probably why the right hates her so much. She's no wimp.
